Moto G4 Play To Get Nougat Update In June

The update has been long waited for, especially after Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus got it in December itself.

 

Motorola’s Moto G4 Play that was launched in India in September last year is finally all set to receive Android Nougat update in June, mentions Gadgets360 quoting a report published by Android Authority.

Also, the report states that the Moto G4 Play, currently being offered at Rs 7,999 on Amazon India will be the last device in Moto G4 series to actually get the Nougat update. Well, it is also worth recalling that Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus go the update in December itself.

The Android Authority report mentions that the publication has been informed by a Lenovo spokesperson that “Consumers will start to see Android Nougat on Moto G4 Play in June.” However, while it was earlier expected that only US consumers will be getting the Nougat update, the recent update on the post clarifies that it would be rolling out globally in June.

To recall, the Moto G4 Plus was launched with a 5 inch HD display, while being powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of ROM. The device also comes with 8 MP rear camera, 5 MP front facing camera, 2,800 may battery, micro USB, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, and 4G VoLTE support.
