Honor 6X May Be Launched In India Tomorrow

While the media invite hints at a dual rear-camera smartphone launch, it is widely reported that the mystery phone is Honor 6X.

 

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei’s sub-brand Honor seems to be all set to reveal a smartphone with dual-camera setup in India, on Dec 23, according to a recent media invite sent by the company.

The invite clearly says “#swag phone is coming” with a clipart of a dual rear camera module brilliantly used, and according to a couple of websites including BGR and IBTimes that the smartphone would more likely be the Honor 6X.

Speaking about Honor 6X, the mid-tier smartphone was launched in China back in October this year, and as the name suggests, it is the successor to Honor 5X. The smartphone was unveiled in China with a 12 MP rear camera along with a 2 MP sensor to produce better quality images. On the front, the device equips an 8 MP selfie camera.

Other technical specifications include a 5.5 inch FHD display with 2.5D curved glass on top, Kirin 655 octal core processor and a fingerprint sensor at the back. Along with this, the smartphone was originally launched in China in three variants: 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB ROM, 4 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM, and 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB ROM.

However, if at all these widely reported sources turn out tree, it would be really interesting to see which smartphone variant would be rolled out in the Indian market. It would also be interesting to see at what price would this smartphone be launch in India.

To recall, in China the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM variant was launched with a price tag of RMB 999 which roughly translated to Rs 9,700. On the other hand, the 4 GB RAM/ 32 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB ROM variant were launched at RMB 1,299 (Rs 12,700) and RMB 1,599 (Rs 15,600) respectively.
