Paytm Becomes More Secured Now

No body except you can now authorise payments on your smartphone.

We all know that wallet companies like Paytm have recently seen a huge shift in their signups, as a result of the demonetisation move. However, people have been left to worry more than ever before regarding the security features of such wallets.

It looks like, Paytm has recently announced a new layer of security as an answer to ward off these worries of its increasing user database. Now, Paytm allows users to add a lock on all transactions that are made from the wallet, claims a recent report on Gadgets 360.

However, while this security feature is presently seen only on Android devices, iPhones and iPads are soon expected to come with fingerprint security support.

While, any person who had access to your smartphone was able to make payments via Paytm, this new security feature ensures that only you (the person who knows the security code of the smartphone) can make the payment successfully.

Adding further on this new security level, it uses Android’s authorisation mechanism, which in-fact means, you can authorise the payment through any of the original screen lock that you have activated on your smartphone - be it PIN, password, pattern or even fingerprint, i.e., if your phone supports it.

However, this new security feature is an optional method, though we feel that it should strongly integrated by every Paytm user.
