Google Rolls Out Android 7.1 Nougat Developer Preview To Select Phones

The smartphones that support this developer preview currently are Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Pixel C.

As per the company's plans announced earlier this month, Google has finally made the latest Android 7.1 Nougat Developer Preview available for select devices including Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Pixel C.

User can now sign up for Google's Android Beta Program and receive the update over-the-air. Else, users can opt in to download the Android 7.1 Nougat Developer Preview factory image from the company's website, and flash it to any of the device mentioned above.

However, you might be a little depressed by now, if you are not having a Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, or a Pixel C smartphone! But, don't you worry! The Search Engine giant has announced to soon bring the developer preview to other smartphones as well. However, you will have to wait a while for that, as there is still no information about the timeline.

On the other hand, the company has also announced that the final build of Android 7.1 Nougat will be rolled out to all Google devices that support Android Nougat, maximum by this year end.

Speaking about the developer preview, it is known to bring some improvements such as Daydream View VR headset support, and features like circular app icons, app shortcuts, and a manual storage manager.
