You Can Now Book An Uber In Advance

The cab app enables users to schedule a ride 15 minutes or 30 days in advance.

 

The popular online taxi service Uber has added a new feature to its app. Called as 'Schedule a Ride', this feature's name explains it all. Those who have early morning flights or important meetings will appreciate this service from Uber.

Currently, the ride scheduling option is available on uberGO and uberX only. By selecting the 'Schedule' service, you can book your ride 15 minutes to 30 days in advance. You can cancel at anytime before your ride is on the way. Uber will send you reminders both 24 hours and 30 minutes in advance of your pick-up. You can pay through your credit cards, debit cards, prepaid wallets, and even cash. Uber has dropped a hint that booking a cab in advance won't save you from dynamic pricing.



This feature isn't really new in the industry as Uber's main rival Ola has been offering a similar 'Ride later' feature since day one. Since Uber's business was based on the on-demand model, the American cab company was so far reluctant to offer an option to book a cab in advance.
