Smartron Launches Its Smartphone ‘tphone’

The smartphone comes with spectacular features, while, it is placed at a higher price.

 

Hyderabad based company Smartron has recently launched its first smartphone dubbed as the 'tphone' at the price tag of Rs 22,999.

The smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow, while it features a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM, 5.5 inch 1080p Full HD AMOLED display screen with Gorilla Glass 3, dual SIM support, and internal memory of 64 GB.

The internal storage can also be extended by using a Micro SD card of up to 128 GB. The device supports USB Type C.

On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 13 MP sensor with dual LED flash, capable of capturing HDR photos and 4K videos. Also, on the front side, the device has a 4 MP camera.

The smartphone weighs around 149 gm and is VOLTE ready, while a 3,000 mAh high density lithium-ion polymer battery powers up the device.

The Smartron tphone was launched by cricketer and the company's shareholder and brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar and Telangana Minister for Information Technology K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday in Hyderabad.

The smartphone is said to be totally designed and engineered in India, and soon the manufacturing too will be started in India as discussion are going on with Foxconn, according to Smartron Founder-Chairman Mahesh Lingareddy.
