Obi Worldphone SF1 Expected To Soon Enter India

The smartphone comes in 2 variants - one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM while another with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM.

 

Obi Worldphone is all set to enter the Indian smartphone market with its new smartphone dubbed as the SF1.

Expected to be priced under Rs 15,000, the smartphone is said to be available in two variants - 2 GB RAM and 16 GB in-built storage / 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage space.

However, the exact date of launch in India is still not revealed by the company.

Speaking about the Obi Worldphone, the company is backed by John Scully who is the former CEO of tech giant Apple.

On the technical side, the Obi Worldphone SF1 features a 5 inch JDI IPS floating glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protecting the screen from scratches. Also, the SF1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

The SF1 comes with dual SIM support and connectivity support for 4G, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS.

The camera section of the smartphone comprises of 13 MP Sony IMX214 sensor in the rear with LED flash and 5 MP sensor on the front for better selfies. Also, the phone comes with a LED flash on the front to enhance the quality of the selfies.

The smartphone is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.

Additionally, on the audio part, the SF1 comes with Dolby Audio feature which enhances the audio quality.

Overall, the smartphone is expected to pose clear-cut competition to other smartphones in the sub 15K category.
