Deal Alert: Realme U1 Now Available For Rs 10,999

Realme slashes down the prices to compete with Samsung's M series.

 

Samsung recently entered the budget category with its M series phones. Touted as the smartphones for millennials, these devices bring lot of value for money and the enormous brand value of Samsung. The Korean smartphone giant has thus stirred up the market a fair bit and its Chinese competitors have started feeling the heat. Realme, a subsidiary of Oppo smartphones launched its Realme U1 smartphone in November last year for Rs 11,999 (3 GB/32 GB) and Rs. 14,499 (4 GB/64 GB) variants. But now to match Samsung's agressive pricing, Realme is now offering a Rs 1000 on both the variants. As a result, the price now goes down to Rs 10,999 and Rs 13,499 respectively.
 
 
The company is also making the Realme U1 available through over 2500 rick-and-mortar stores across India. The Realme U1 features a polycarbonate body construction. Its glossy acrylic lends the phone a premium look and feel. At the front it sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS display which comes with a Waterdrop style notch at the top. The screen also comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by MediaTek's Helio P70 SoC (System on Chip), which can handle game titles PUBG.
 
On the camera front, it is equipped with dual real cameras comprising of a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front selfie shooter hiding in the waterdrop notch is the mainstay of the Realme U1 as it comes with a 25-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
 
The Realme U1 is a Dual-SIM handset and comes with a dedicated microSD card slot which can take up to 256 GB. Other notable features include a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, Dual 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio. microUSB etc. It runs on ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android Oreo 8.1 and is powered by a 3,500 mAh battery.
