Brainwavz M1: Review And First Impression

Brainwavz recently launched its new in-ear headphones called, the M1 in India, and here is a review and its first impressions. While the box certainly looks more like the Brainwavz M5 that we had unboxed and reviewed a couple of weeks ago, features make them apart.

Speaking about the specifications of the M1, it comes with a 10.7 mm dynamic driver, with a rated impedance of 32 Ohms and frequency range between 20 Hz and 20 Khz.

Inside the retail packaging, we get the Brainwavz M1 earphones along with a hard carrying case, that is commonly seen in almost every Brainwavz boxes. Along with that, we also get a pair of Comply Foam ear tips and 6 sets of Silicone ear tips, a shirt clip, instruction manual and a warranty card. We get a 12 months warranty for this earphone.

The earphone comes with a unique silver, oxygen free cable of around a meter length, probably.

If we look at the sound quality of this earphone, we can hear a clear and well balanced sound, as claimed by the company on the retail package. Also, when it comes to having a better listening experience, the company gives you a number of ear tips to choose from according to your ears. This definitely makes your listening experience better.

And... speaking about noise isolation, the earphone is doing its best to keep you undistracted from the outside world, thus making the listening experience more immersive.

In-fact, adding to this, I must say that we get a very wide-spread sound reproduction. And... built quality is good.. the cable doesn't get entangled.

However, these earphone do not actually reproduce heavy bass, and may seem dull and flat if you are a bass freak. If so, I would suggest you to look at our reviews of a couple of other bass-heavy earphones and headphones including Brainwavz S1 and Portronics Muffs XT.

Coming back to the Brainwavz M1, it is definitely a beautiful sounding earphone with a great quality cable, as mentioned earlier. But, you would not be getting an integrated microphone with the earphone, which makes this earphone not usable while handling calls. However, its price, build quality and and wide-spread sound reproduction makes it a good choice for music lovers. And, as far as the rating is concerned, I would give it a 4 out of 5.
