Micromax Canvas Juice Listed Online At Rs 8,769

The smartphone may find it difficult to impress the smartphone buyers in the existing competition.

Homegrown mobile manufacturer Micromax has launched its new smartphone Canvas Juice 3 at Rs 8,769 and is listed on Indiatimes Shopping e-commerce website.

The USP of the smartphone is that it comes with a huge 4,000 mAh battery while it features a 5 inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It is worth noting here that the smartphone has not yet been officially announced by the company, but a popular Mumbai-based retailer has posted the picture of the retail box.

While the retail box claims the smartphone to have a 5 inch screen, the e-commerce site claims it to have 5.5 inch display.

The other technical specifications of the smartphone include 1.3 GHz MediaTek processor coupled with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB in-built storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD Card.

The camera section is made up of an 8 MP rear auto focus camera with LED flash and 2 MP front facing camera and the connectivity options in the smartphone include 3G, WiFi, GPS, Micro USB and Bluetooth.

Considering the specifications and the price point, the smartphone doesn't look to be a great buy especially when you can get smartphones like Honor 4X, Lenovo K3 under Rs 10,000.

Also, on the other hand, while companies have been launching 4G LTE smartphones for under Rs 5,000 price point, would it really makes sense buying a 3G capable Canvas Juice 3 at the given price?

The smartphone seems to be having a great competition in the current smartphone market and only time can tell if the Canvas Juice 3 can attract users which looks to be a difficult task for the company.
