BLU Launches Budget Windows Phone Devices In India

The base model costs as little as Rs 6000.

 

BLU mobiles, a budget smartphone maker from Florida, has finally entered the sprawling Indian market. The company's first wave of products in our country comprises Win HD LTE and Win Jr LTE.

First up, the Win HD LTE features a 5" screen with 1280x720 pixels. The budget handset is powered by the latest Snapdragon 410 chip. The quad-core processor is clocked at 1.2 GHz. There's 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB internal storage. A microSD card slot felicitates another 32 GB of storage. The phone has 8 megapixel camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies. The battery has the capacity of 2500 mAh.

The Win Jr LTE is based on the same SoC (System-on-Chip) as its elder sibling. RAM and internal storage are same too. What's different is the screen size. The Win Jr LTE sports a 4.5-inch with pixel dimensions of 480x854. Camera too have been watered down to 5 megapixel. The phone draws power from a 2000 mAh battery.

As their names suggest, the Win HD LTE and Win Jr LTE support 4G LTE. On the software front, you get Windows Phone 8.1 out-of-the-box. Both the phones are also eligible for the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade.

The BLU Win JR LTE is available online for Rs 6000. For the Win HD LTE, you have to spend a couple of grand more.
