Panasonic Launches Eluga Icon With 3,500 mAh Battery At Rs 10,999

The smartphone comes with hand hover gesture functionality, Smart Awake, and Blink Eye to click selfies with a blink of an eye.

 

Panasonic has recently launched its new smartphone in the Eluga series dubbed the Eluga Icon at Rs 10,999. The smartphone which is available in Gold and Slate colours exclusively via Amazon India comes packed with a 3,500 mAh battery.

While the battery is the highlight of the smartphone, it comes with a bunch of other notable features like 4G LTE connectivity support, hand hover gesture based functionality known as iSense, Smart Awake which wakes up the screen on double tap and Blink Play which clicks selfies with a blink of an eye.

The new Eluga Icon coems powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can further expanded via microSD card.

Speaking about the camera section, the new device comes with a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and 8 MP front facing camera. Apart from 4G, other connectivity options on the Eluga Icon include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/A-GPS, OTG support, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat based Icon UI while having a 5.5 inch OGS (One Glass Solution) display. It also features MediaTek's HotKnot file transfer technology, which is similar to near field communications (NFC) in terms of application.

The handset features ambient light sensor, accelerometer, e-compass, and proximity sensors.

At this price point, the Eluga Icon is likely to compete against Lenovo K3 Note priced at Rs. 9,999; Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, priced at Rs. 7,999, and Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen), priced at Rs. 11,999 (1GB RAM).
