Oppo Launches Its New Budget Smartphone Joy Plus At Rs 6,990

Joy Plus comes with some joyless specifications compared to many other phones in the same price range.

Chinese mobile maker Oppo has come up with a successor dubbed as the Joy Plus to its year-old budget phone Joy.

With 4-inch display screen, the Joy Plus is priced at Rs 6,990 and almost similar specifications.

However, the main difference we can find in the Oppo Joy Plus is that it comes with 1 GB of RAM unlike the previous Joy which had a 512 MB of RAM.

The rest other features remain the same between both the two phones.

Thus we feel that there seems to be no much improvements between the predecessor and the successor.

However, to give in more details about the specifications of the Joy Plus, the phone comes with a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and has 4 GB of in-built storage space.

The storage can as usual be expanded with a microSD card slot.

While the Joy was launched with Jelly Bean as its operating system, the Joy Plus comes with Android KitKat. This makes it completely out of the Lollipop race which is a pretty drawback nowadays, we feel.

Coming to the camera section, the phone has a 3 MP rear camera with LED flash and 0.3 MP camera on the front. We really feel that, the real joy of taking pictures is completely out of the Joy Plus when compared to phones like Huawei Honor Holly with 8 MP camera,  Asus Zenfone 4 with 5 MP camera for almost the same price range.

To conclude, we really feel that the Oppo Mobile should come up with better specifications for the same price range to stay in the current mobile market in India.
