Google Pushes Out Android 5.1 Lollipop Update To Sony Xperia Z Ultra
The update is more of a bug-fixing software patch and is expected to enhance the security.
Sony comes in with the Android 5.1 Lollipop update to its flagship Xperia Z Ultra Google Play edition smartphones.
For now, the update is being rolled out only in the US and is soon expected to reach India.
However, we have no further information as to by when exactly the update would reach you. Yet, it is advisable to keep your eyes open and wait for the rollout notification.
In case if you do not get the notification, you can always check out manually by going to 'Settings' >> 'About Phone' >> 'System Update' >> 'Check Now'.
The Android 5.1 OTA comes in at around 212 MB and is build LMY47D, bringing enhanced security and HD voice support as well as other goodies.
To add in more details about the 5.1 update, it is not a major update but rather a bug-fixing software patch.
However, we still believe that this bug fix patch update will be enhancing the user experience in a great way.
