Super Slim Gionee Elife S7 Announced In India

Gets slimmer, faster and lot lighter as well.

Gionee has announced its all-new Elife S7 smartphone for the Indian market for Rs 25,000. The smartphone looks pretty slim even when compared the S5.5 and S5.1 and packs in a punch with some MediaTek innards.

The Elife S7 that had leaked out earlier sports a 5.5 mm thin, sandwiched construction with Gorilla glass on both sides and a metal frame (built from Aluminium Magnesium Alloy states the PR) in the center.

While the smartphone is very slim and looks good by itself, it does have a lot of similarities with Sony’s Xperia Z series and the OmniBalance design language.

As for the hardware specifications of the Gionee Elife S7:

  • We get a 5.2 inch, Full HD (1080p), Super AMOLED display
  • Inside, we are treated to an octa-core MediaTek SoC clocked at 1.7 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory
  • The camera department consists of a 13 MP rear camera module (with an LED flash) and an 8 MP front facing sensor
  • We get the usual radios and dual SIM support on 4G bands all powered by a 2700 mAh battery

On the software side of things we get Android 5.0 Lollipop as the base with the Amigo 3.0 OS to keep things refreshed.

The Gionee Elife S7 will arrive in white, black and blue at launch, a date that the company has yet to reveal.
