Samsung GALAXY S6 To Feature Optional TouchWiz Apps

The news keeps getting better.

While we thought that the Samsung toning down TouchWiz to Nexus-like levels was the best news we heard this year, there is indeed something bigger than that. Sources now point out that the GALAXY S6 will also be the first Samsung smartphone to feature TouchWiz apps as an optional download.

Yes, you heard that right. Samsung may actually give all those lame apps that nobody ever uses the boot, by featuring them as optional downloads. This means that apart from looking like the slick, stock Android ROM found on Nexus devices, users will indeed witness less RAM usage as as well.

What’s more, is that the Korean company’s recent deal with the whole patent royalty case with Microsoft, will see more of the company's services bundled with free Office 365 subscriptions.

Apart from all of the above, Samsung’s UX will be more colourful (worrisome), offer an iOS-like keyboard and support different grid layouts in the app drawer along with themes.

Seems like Samsung is indeed going all-out to deliver a mix of colourful Material Design and an almost invisible TouchWiz experience with the upcoming GALAXY S6.

Indeed we have no clue about how Google will react to this news, but for now Samsung is indeed giving us enough reasons (just through the leaks) to buy the GALAXY S Edge.
