Microsoft Releases Firmware Update To Fix The Lumia 535's Touchscreen Issues

The company seems to be working overtime since the update was not expected before 27th of December.

Microsoft has finally released a firmware update to take of those nagging touchscreen issues that Lumia 535 owners have been facing. The software giant had recently launched the smartphone in India and problems with its problematic display did not go unnoticed. The company then made things official by confirming the issue in an official statement and stated that it would release a fix by the 27th of December.

The update (Windows Phone version 8.10.14219.341) is currently rolling out to selected countries only and it addresses the touchscreen issue that kind of reminds of a similar problem with Lumia 1520. Apart from the fixes, the firmware update brings Cortana to a number of new countries and comes with stability and performance improvements as well.

Microsoft must have put its software team on overtime as it is pretty disappointing to see a product that was recently launched with touchscreen issues out of the box. This is a big deal for Microsoft since it could affect the sales of the smartphone; and even more so because the 535 belongs to the budget segement; an area that company is focussed on.
