75,000 Units Of The Xiaomi Redmi Note Will Go On Sale Today

Registrations for the device closed at midnight, tough luck if you haven't already done so

India is on route to becoming Xiaomi's second largest global market, and the company's growth efforts can be seen in the increasing number of smartphones being allotted for sale. Xiaomi is putting 75,000 units of its Redmi Note smartphone up for sale at 2pm on December 9, as part of the second flash sale for the device.

If you're looking at this as a sign that you might be able to get your hands on the Redmi Note this time around, it's already too late – registrations closed at midnight. Further, considering that a lot of 50,000 units of the Redmi Note was cleared in a mere 6 seconds, we don't expect today's sale to last much longer.

Post registering for a chance to own the device, users are expected to place the product in their carts as soon as the flash sale commences. They're then given sufficient time to make the payment and complete the purchase, which brings us to believe that a few devices will inevitable remain unsold at the end of each sale.

While Xiaomi's method of sale has won it a lot of bad publicity, there doesn't seem to be any drop in the popularity of its devices owing to the blockbuster sales. Don't expect the flash sale to go away anytime soon however, as the company uses the buzz generated by them to publicize itself rather than paying for adverts.

The Redmi Note, like the previous device Xiaomi brought to India, offers great value with its high-performance, low-cost formula. The Note, with its large screen is even more popular in the country given the growing trend of large-screen devices, which people are even using as their primary computing devices in many cases.
