Alcatel One Touch Launches Its Flash Smartphone Built For Selfies

Packs in quite a punch, considering that this is a smartphone built for selfies.

 

Alcatel One Touch has announced its all-new Flash smartphone in India. While Flipkart has been delivering some not so subtle hints a day in advance we were pretty sure that the launch was imminent. The device basically delivers a selfie-friendly smartphone with a premium design along with an octa-core chipset all at a budget price tag.

As for the design, the Flash looks pretty-much spot on but what is the focus is here is the 5 MP front facing camera that has been designed to deliver some quality selfies. Alcatel also packaged some selfie-oriented software that will not need users to download any additional apps to edit their selfies to perfection.

As for the hardware that lies beneath this 5.5 inch phablet:

  • We get a massive 5.5 inch 1280 x 720 pixel IPS display
  • Inside we have a 1.4 GHz MediaTek MT6592M, octa-core processor that is coupled with 1 GB of RAM
  • The memory department consists of 8 GB of internal memory and an a micro SD expansion slot that supports cards of up to 32 GB in capacity
  • The camera-centric smartphone delivers with a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front-facing unit
  • We get the usual radios including dual SIM slots, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and even Wi-Fi direct
  • The device runs Android KitKat 4.4 and is powered by a massive 3200 mAh battery

The Alcatel One Touch Flash comes in Crystal White and Gun Grey and will go on sale on Flipkart for an asking price of Rs 9,999 from the 21st of November.
