Lenovo Sends Out Press Invites For The Vibe Z2 Pro Launch In India

The monstrous handset is all geared up to take on the Samsung Note series.

Lenovo has begun sending out invites for the launch of its upcoming handset the Vibe Z2 Pro, scheduled for the 1st of October. While the company (that is pretty active on social media) has begun teasing its fans with teaser images with the “Pro” tag, it is pretty evident that the company is launching the Vibe Z2 Pro.

The handset has indeed come a long way from first showing up in China as the K920 a few months ago to being announced as the Vibe Z2 Pro for global markets. Lenovo is finally going to let loose this beast of a smartphone that can clearly chew up anything that gets in its way.

As for the specs, they can only be compared to the OPPO Find 7; minus the Quad HD display that is:

  • You have first to get past that massive 6 inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixel) IPS display on the front
  • Inside, you will find a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (Yes, this is the AC version) with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM
  • On the back we get a 16 MP snapper with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and a Pro Mode for advanced users
  • Encased in that metal construction is the massive 4000 mAh battery which makes every other smartphone’s battery look puny (excluding the Micromax Canvas Power)

Clearly this handset has been designed not for the consumer (with regular-sized hands for sure) but to take down Samsung’s Note 4. What will certainly be interesting is the pricing, which considering that this is Lenovo will be a lot lower than the Samsung GALAXY Note 4.
