Motorola’s Touchless Control Is Now Moto Voice; Gets New Features

Currently the Moto X is the only handset to benefit from the new update here in India.

 

Motorola has indeed been working hard on its Touchless Control app, trying its level best to differentiate the service from Google Now. A new update is hitting capable devices (the Moto X in India) and apart from the re-branding to Moto Voice , also adds a bunch of new and useful features that will add value to the ageing Moto X smartphone.

Moto Voice adds features that have been borrowed from the recently launched Moto X (2nd Gen) handset and also adds support, while fixing a few bugs. The service for those of you who do not know, kind of works like a fully-functional, always listening digital voice assistant.

The official changelog is as follows:

  • You can now customize your own launch phrase to make Moto Voice respond only to you
  • Voice command support for YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp will certainly extend the functionality of the app
  • Turn on Talk to Me and other Moto modes through voice commands
  • We now have added support for the recently launched Moto Hint and Moto 360 devices
  • User experience improvements and bug fixes

Indeed, there is a lot here that makes for a worthy update for your 1st generation Moto X. Moreover, Motorola promises that newer features are coming in future updates so it is indeed a ‘must download’ for users.
