Google’s Play Store App Refund Time Now Extended To 2 Hours

Certainly better than the current situation, but not better than the past returns policy.

Google has now extended the time frame that you can spend with your purchased app until you can return it for a refund to 2 hours. The Play Store earlier allowed an extremely tiny time frame of 15 minutes which may have led to to a lot tiffs between the users and the developers. Apart from this there are some new rules that have fallen into place as well.

Yes, you no longer have to wait desperately till your download completes so that you can rush to open the app or game to check if things are up to your expectations. The returns time period is certainly a blessing and will definitely lead to fewer conflicts between app developers and users to who purchase their apps (and less complaints in the comments).

Of course the new time frame clearly cannot defeat the old one that existed in the good old days. The Play Store actually offered a whole day for you to think over your purchase which often left developers sweating in a way.

There are other things rules that your should be aware of as well. One of them includes the fact that you cannot refund an app or a game more than once (we guess that there is some fine print missing here). The second is that once an app purchased and refunded, the second time around there will be no refund button available to return the app.
