Sony Now Pushing Android KitKat Updates To 2013 Range

Brings nothing new apart from bug fixes.

Sony is indeed a bit late to the update game, but you simply cannot blame them since they have a large number of devices (which includes flagships) to cater to after all. The new KitKat update brings the usual improvements and fixes and adds nothing new similar to the stock version of Android KitKat 4.4.4.

The update is headed to devices that were launched last year meaning that Sony is indeed not giving up on them just yet.  It was the same bunch of devices that the company updated to KitKat version 4.4.2 back then so it makes sense to apply and package the incremental update now. The devices that will soon be seeing a notification for an update include Xperia Z, ZR, ZL and the  Tablet Z as per the tweet that  came from an official twitter handle.

As for the update itself it is said to bring the usual 4.4.4 fixes to Android  along with battery improvements. Also included in the update is better Wi-Fi performance enhancements, along with improvements for the in-built email app. The process is gradual so it may take some time until the update rolls out for your region.

With a portfolio of devices that  keeps getting refreshed every six months, seems that the Japanese electronics giant will indeed have their hands full in the years to come.
