Meizu MX4 Pro’s Abnormal Specs Leak; Brings 4 GB Of RAM On A Smartphone

If you thought the MX4 was a beast, you will have to up your expectations once you read what the MX4 Pro has in store.

 

Indeed the MX4 was quite a handful when its benchmarks leaked out earlier. The handset that was finally launched a few days ago, came with the all-new true octa-core processor from MediaTek and clearly is the benchmark king for now. Well, out of nowhere someone managed to find a document showing what could be the specs of the upcoming MX4 Pro that we saw some leaked images of earlier. Considering that this is a ‘Pro’ version of the handset, it should indeed have better specs than the standard mid-range sibling. We do expect you to take this information with a bucket-load of salt as they somehow do not seem to make much sense.

The document shows some really abnormal specifications for the MX4 Pro smartphone:

  • A 5.36 inch 2560 x 1536 pixel dense touch screen display that is the same as the MX4
  • A 20.7 MP Sony camera unit with LED flash and an abnormally large 13 MP front-facing sensor
  • Inside we get a Samsung Exynos 5430 that is said to have 4 x Cortex-A17 cores at 2.6 GHz, and 4 x Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz coupled with 4 GB of RAM
  • The handset along with 4G LTE support is shown to come in 16, 32 and 64 GB versions

While everything else does seem doable, it is indeed the Exynos 5430’s specs that lead us to believe that there could be some big typos out here. The Exynos 5430 is clearly not expected to clock over 1.8 GHz for the heavy duty Cortex A15 while the smaller A7 will simply see a maximum clockspeed of 1.3 GHz. Again, the 4 GB of RAM also seems to be pretty much overkill for now as well. We are guessing that the processor could in all probability be the MediaTek MT6595 Turbo that seems to be only one that comes close with 2.5 GHz quad-core Cortex-A17s.
