Celkon Launches Entry-Level Signature Two A500 Handset

Joins hands with Flipkart to reach out to a wider audience.

 

Local smartphone maker Celkon has released yet another budget smartphone to compete with the long list of manufacturers vying for the entry-level market. The handset called the Signature Two A500 will keep in line with the Signature series of handsets that the company has been releasing over the years.

Celkon had just announced the Vogue Q455 as a part of the Millennium series, now it seems that they are focussing on a lower segment with the launch of another smartphone in the Signature series.

As for the Signature A500, it sports a large 5 inch FWVGA display which is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB ROM. The memory is expandable, thanks to the presence of a Micro SD card slot, going all the way up to 32 GB. Also included is a 5 MP primary camera unit along with a 0.3 MP front-facing one, all fuelled by a 2000 mAh battery.

The Signature Two A500 will retail for Rs 5999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart from the 5th of August. The company will also include a flip cover with handset worth Rs 499 for free.
