Skype 5.2 Brings Back Voice Messaging And Profiles For iPhone

Version 5.2 delivers the features that seemed to have disappeared from refreshed Skype version 5.0.

Skype has updated its iOS app for iPhone once again and adds the much-missed voice messaging feature. Apart from this, the update also brings a couple of improvements along with the ability to add participants to an existing group.

Version 5.1 added the ability to delete a conversation and edit a message so the newest version brings back some more features that iPhone users have been missing since the 5.0 app was released.

Most important of those is the voice message support, meaning that when you receive a message from a contact, you will be able to see it in their respective chat threads and even play it from there.

After adding a ‘Skype only’ contact filter on version 5.1, the team has now given you the ability to view profiles by simply tapping on the three dotted menu button. Moreover, if you are in a conversation with one person all you have to do is tap on their name to pull up their profile page.

Lastly, iPhone Skype users have been granted the privilege to add participants to earlier locked group conversations giving you more freedom while chatting in groups.

The new update like the previous ones works on iPhones running iOS 7 and above only.
