Intex Launches Its Aqua Curve Mini Smartphone At Rs 7,290

The device's pricing alone puts its up against the budget superstar, Moto E.

Domestic handset manufacturer Intex has announced the launch of the Aqua Curve Mini smartphone in India at Rs 7,290. The entry-level device supports dual SIMs and runs on Google's latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, putting it squarely up against the ultra-successful Moto E.

The Intex Aqua Curve Mini features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixel) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, coupled to 1GB of RAM. It comes with just 4GB of onboard storage which can be expanded to a maximum of 32GB via a microSD card.

In terms of imaging the device comes with an 8MP primary camera with an LED flash module at the rear, and a 2MP front-facing camera for selife duties. All that hardware is powered by a 1,500mAh battery, but there's no word on the battery life of the device.

Connectivity options on the Aqua Curve Mini include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, pretty much run-of-the-mill stuff when it comes to entry-level smartphones. The device is the third from Intex to run on Google's Android 4.4 KitKat, joining the ranks of the Aqua i14 and Aqua N15.
