Samsung Announces GALAXY Tab 2 (7.0)

7" tablet will feature Android 4.0 out of the box.


Samsung has announced yet another tablet, the GALAXY Tab 2 (7.0). This 7" gadget will be the first slate from Samsung to feature Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) straight from the factory.

The gadget is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz CPU, and has a 1 GB of RAM. Its 7" screen has pixel dimensions of 1024x600. Other than that, the tablet sports a 3 MP primary and a front VGA camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, a 3.5 mm jack, microSD card slot, and a 4000 mAh battery. The device measures 7.6" (l) x 4.8" (w) x 0.4" (10 mm) (d), and weighs 344 grammes.

The Korean giant plans to release both the Wi-Fi and 3G + Wi-Fi versions globally in March. Additionally, users will be able to choose between 8, 16, and 32 GB variants. However, Samsung hasn't provided any information regarding its pricing as yet.
