Leaked: GALAXY S4 And S5 To Get Kitkat 4.4.3 Update By July

Samsung seems to be in hurry to update its GALAXY S5, low sales to blame?

Lucky Samsung GALAXY S4 and S5 owners will soon be getting the Android KitKat 4.4.3 update. A leaked internal document found by Android Geeks points out that Samsung is indeed serious about its GALAXY S5 and S4 handsets. The update will supposedly begin rolling out as soon as this month for the GALAXY S5, while GALAXY S4 users will have to wait till July for the roll out to begin.

Of course there is a catch; we have no clue whether the cool new dialer app from Google’s Android KitKat for Nexus devices will make it to this update. Samsung obviously thinks that its TouchWiz dialer is better suited for its customers. Kind of kills the whole point of the update, but still then you do get the general bug fixes that Google seems to have ironed out, which were present in the first release of Android KitKat. Hopefully Samsung is able to take care of the lag that we noticed while reviewing the GALAXY S5.

It was just recently that Google released the source code for Android KitKat 4.4.3 soon after which Motorola was the first to announce that it would be updating its recent line-up of devices like the Moto X, G and E. May be Samsung was a bit concerned about its not so awesome GALAXY S5 sales and even the horrible lag that we noticed in our review unit. May be that is why Samsung has risen to the occasion and is hopefully working on the lag issue even if it is not giving S5 users a better looking dialer.
