Now, #ManOfTheMatch To Be Decided On Twitter During World Cup

All you have to do is click on a photo of the player you choose and register your vote with the #ManOfTheMatch hashtag.

Users of popular social network Twitter will get a chance to choose the man of the match during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

At the start of the second half of every game, voting on twitter will open with users registering their choice using the #ManOfTheMatch and they are free to vote for any of the players, who have played in the match.

Last time around, viewers of the games were allowed to cast their votes through the official FIFA website, but in an attempt to increase the scale and reach they're turning to Twitter. Budwiser, the tournament's official beer provider will sponsor the #ManOfTheMatch award and has launched the campaign to increase interaction among fans.

Voting will be as simple as clicking on a photo of the player of your choice, and will be registered by using the dedicated #ManOfTheMatch hashtag. This may be a novel way of getting the player you think best deserves the award to actually receive it, but isn't prone to abuse.

We should note that the selection process for the Man of the Match award has never really been transparent, so don't be surprised if your attempts to troll the results fail.
