LG G Flex 2 To Be Launched In Feb 2015

Could the rumoured G Flex 2 be Google’s first Silver device?

Twitter leaker @EvLeaks once again took to the social network telling us that there is apparently an LG G Flex 2 in the works. Yes, you read it right a G Flex 2. Moreover, the device will be announced early next year, somewhere in February which strangely coincides with the news about Google’s Silver device announcement which will also be produced by the Korean company.

The leaker also revealed that we should expect something better compared to last year’s self-healing back as well. Launched in October last year, the G Flex came with a curved flexible body and a curved screen. The self-healing back did work, but seemed more experimental than practical. The high price of the LG G Flex was indeed the sore point which kept many from purchasing the device.

Google’s rumoured LG device is said to sport a Snapdragon 810 processor which will propel the phone into the 64-bit era is also said to be launched at the same time as the G Flex 2. So it might as well be the same phone, with different hardware internals, one built by LG’s specifications and the other by Google’s.

Consumers, who purchased a device this year, will certainly feel the pinch now that they are suddenly hearing news about processors with 64-bit technology with almost twice the processing power. Just eight months away, such devices will create a huge gap and will indeed make today’s top smartphones a thing of the past. But then again, such is the irony of the pace at which hardware in the Android space progresses.
