Huawei Launches A Duo Of Ascend Smartphones In India

Chinese manufacturer brings Ascend G6 and Ascend G750 to India.

Huawei, one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world, has launched Ascend G6 and Ascend G750 in India. Both smartphones run dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with company's Emotion UI on top of it.

The Ascend G750 is powered by MediaTek's MT6592 octa-core chip. Clocked at 1.7 GHz, the processor is coupled with Mali450MP4 GPU for gaming. You get 2 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, and microSD card slot. It sports an 5.5-inch HD screen. Since it's an IPS type display, you can expect broad viewing angles. Huawei claims that the device's 3000mAh battery provides back up of more than a day and half. The Ascend G750 features a 13 megapixel BSI (Backside Illuminated) camera from Sony. For selfie, there's a 5 megapixel module on the front.

Huawei Ascend G750 will be available in two colour variants - pure white and deep black. The phone is priced at Rs 25,000.

The Ascend G6 is a mid-range droid with a sensibly sized 4.5-inch screen. It has a qHD (960x540) display resolution. At its heart is a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. Other features include 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and 2000 mAh lithium-polymer battery. For photography, there's an 8 megapixel camera. It features five plastic element lens assembly. Other noteworthy camera features include auto-scene recognition and auto-facial enhancement. 8 ‘Voice Photo’ function that records 10 seconds audio along with a photograph. It also features Sony IMX134 sensor for "superiour" low-light imaging capabilities.

The Huawei Ascend G6 is priced at Rs 17,000. With this price tag, we think it's going to be hard sell considering a more powerful Moto G costs only around Rs 13,500.
