Now Control Your Windows PC Using Your Windows Mobile

While not ideal, it does make for a decent option to access your PC while on the go.

Microsoft released its remote desktop app allowing Android and iOS users control their Windows PCs from their smartphones last year, but support for Windows Phone was missing. Now the company has rolled out a preview version of its Remote Desktop app allowing Windows Phone users access their PCs on the go.

Currently the app is available only for Windows Phone 8.1 operating system which is all set to begin rolling out for existing devices in the coming weeks. However, you can gain access to the OS update by using the developer preview option.

The remote desktop app offers similar functionality to its Android and iOS counterparts. The app will support Windows PCs that have the Remote Desktop functionality turned on, which users can change through the control panel. Users can scroll about their desktops in native resolution and use an on-screen keyboard with buttons to trigger various functions.

While this isn't ideal, it does serve as a decent option to users who need to access their computers while on the go. The app also seems to be one of Microsoft's universal Windows Applications that will run on both Windows Phone 8.1 as well as Windows 8.1.
