Apple Squashes Some Minor Bugs With Its iOS 7.1.1 Update

We should hopefully see better battery performance with this one.

Apple has sneaked out a tiny update and is well on its way to your iDevice right now. The update resolves minor bugs in the recently released version of the operating system that has been annoying iPhone 5s and iPhone users as well. The update’s change log clearly points out that these are simply bug fixes and that no new features have been added.

The first fix is to do with the Touch ID fingerprint recognition. It basically improves the Touch ID feature which had major flaws before the iOS 7.1 update. The issue was faced by iPhone 5s owners where the phone forgot fingerprints over time and the only solution was to redo the entire fingerprint learning process all over again.

The next one is a performance improvement in the keyboard area. The fix squashes some bugs that could impact the responsiveness of the keyboard on iOS devices. Also included is a fix when it comes to using the VoiceOver assistance feature with a Bluetooth keyboard.

Most iPhone users have been complaining about battery life ever since they updated to iOS 7.1. Let’s hope that even though Apple has not mentioned the same in the change log, that they do see some improvements for the same.

The update is 26.1 MB in size and if you have not been prompted to download it yet, you can simply check for the same in the settings menu on your device.
