Lenovo Launches The Wallet-Friendly S660 Smartphone

Brings blazing fast processing to the mid-segment.

What makes a successful smartphone in the mid-segment? Well, according to Lenovo, it’s the perfect combination of performance with equally competitive pricing; and they seemed to have done just that. Lenovo just announced the newest value for money smartphone, the S660.

The smartphone is the perfect combination of price and features and offers a lot more compared to its smartphone counterparts in the same range. The phone was announced just a few months ago at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona and Lenovo has already managed to launch the device in select markets.

The Lenovo S660 comes with a 4.7 inch qHD (960 x 540) display which is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek processor. The device runs on older Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software which may be a bit out dated now since Samsung seems to be introducing budget phones running KitKat.

On the back is an 8MP shooter with an LED flash while the front-facing camera is puny 0.3MP module. The phone comes with a dual SIM setup with dual standby and comes preloaded with Lenovo’s usual array of premium DOit apps. The phone looks rather stylish thanks to its brushed metal design which may win it a couple of buyers compared to the rest of the competition. What this phone also includes is a 3000mAh battery to power all of that hardware; which should easily give you a day on normal usage.

The phone comes only in black, is priced at Rs 13999 and will be available online and in brick and mortar stores all over India starting today.
