Pocket Gets An Update, Brings Minor Additions To iOS And Android

Update brings additional languages and an immersive mode for Android.

Pocket (earlier known as Read It Later) still is a great app for those who love to read online. For those of you who aren't familiar with the app, it allows you to save pages from the Internet and much more to your Pocket account. These pages can then be accessed when you have the time to read them, on your phone or even via your web browser.

When you access a page for reading via the app or browser, you get a reader like view which is clutter-free and makes reading a lot easier. Earlier the app was limited only to the English language, but now thanks to the current and previous update, support for additional languages have been added.

While additional language support is the only update that iOS users will receive, the Android herd can look forward to a lot more. Android users get a better, more refined layout and typography; ensuring that the reading mode stitches images and paragraphs seamlessly. There are now automatic adjustments for layout and text size which can be manually adjusted as well. Also included in this update is the new full screen immersive mode which maximises the reading space by hiding the notification and navigation bars at the top and bottom.
