Angry Birds GO! For Windows Phone Gets The Sub Zero Update

Gets 8 new carts, in-app payments and an overhauled rewards system.

Angry Birds GO! recently released an expansion pack which brought in a host of goodies to an already exciting yet simple game. Rovio might be busy working with the EPIC RPG, but it seems like they are really interested in the Windows Phone platform.

The update arrived for iOS and Android a couple of days ago, with no clue when it would arrive on Windows Phone. This is because developers usually ignored the platform earlier because of the smaller number of users.

Surprisingly, things are turning around for the better for Microsoft lately because Rovio has rolled-out the Sub Zero update for Windows Phone as well. The expansion pack brings in eight new carts and a winter theme for the Piggy Island. All the new carts are unique and some of them are even reminiscent of sledges. The new starter pack gives you a premium soapbox kart for each episode, along with some bonus coins and gems. The developer has also introduced a daily rewards system - you can now compete every day for unique time-limited events with generous rewards.

With updated hardware and a bigger user base, Windows Phone seems to getting a lot of attention these days; both from app and game developers. Moreover, developers are now paying attention to user comments and updating their apps more regularly than in the past. Let’s hope that pace keeps getting quicker as the Windows Phone 8.1 will be released soon at the BUILD 2014 conference on the April 2.
