iOS 8 Leaks Again, Healthbook App Gets Detailed

With many third-party health tracking apps flooding the store, Apple finally decides to make its very own.

Apple started the app game and now it seems that the company is trying hard to cash in on the same. We are talking about health apps that help you track your health with the help of a hardware accessory connected to your iDevice. Although there are plenty of clients available in the App Store, Apple decided to go native. Our guesses simply point to a FitBit like fitness monitoring device that will relay information to your iPhone leaving all the calculation to the upcoming HealthBook app.

9to5Mac provides an extensive review about the new app, which may actually be a paid model (considering that this is Apple) with limited free usage. Healthbook seems to have picked up its design cues from the Passbook app with vibrant colours clearly portraying the new iOS design guidelines and philosophy. The selection of colours is as bad as that of Micromax's default music player. Don't believe us? Check the screenshots below.

It seems like Apple is going all out with Healthbook by offering a lot more than just tracking your heart beat and health. The app lets you monitor various parameters such as Bloodwork, Heart Rate, Hydration, Blood Pressure, Nutrition, and Blood Sugar monitors. Of course all of this will not be possible using just an iPhone. This is why we guess Apple has an ‘iWatch’ or fitness band planned to be launched along with the upcoming version of iOS.
