Valeo Innovation Challenge: Build Your Dream Car

Winners get a whopping Crore of Rupees!

 

It’s just a month away and 300 teams from 40 countries representing 254 universities have already signed up on the website dedicated to the global Valeo Innovation Challenge. Engineering students around the world have the chance to show their skills in building their dream car. The main objective of the Valeo Innovation Challenge is to design equipment which will make cars more intelligent and perceptive from now on till the year 2030.

Students taking part in the Challenge must develop bold, revolutionary solutions for the cars of the future. On April 15, 2014, the 20 qualifying teams shortlisted by the Valeo experts will have 20 weeks to finalize their project. Valeo will grant each team €5,000 (Rs 503,288) to create a functioning prototype.

The top three teams that submit the most innovative projects will be chosen on September 17, 2014 to present their projects to a jury chaired by Jacques Aschenbroich, Valeo Chief Executive Officer. The jury will designate the winning team, which will receive €1,00,000 (Rs 10,066,016 lacs), with the second and third-place teams each receiving €10,000 (Rs 1,006,576).
