CES 2014: Asus Announces Five Smartphones And A Tablet

Includes Android as well as WIndows based devices.

Asus had plenty to showcase at the CES 2014, which included a tablet and five phones. First up is the Transformer Book Duet (TD300), which works both as a laptop and tablet. This device is able to function as an Android or Windows 8.1 tablet or notebook. Users can simply switch operating systems with a single push of the Instant Switch button or a virtual key on the tablet. Transformer Book Duet features Intel Core i7 processor with Intel HD graphics and 4 GB RAM. It has a 13.3-inch IPS touchscreen with 1920x1080 pixels. The Transformer Book Duet has a front-facing HD camera with a built-in digital mic for video calls. The tablet has 128 GB of SSD storage (expandable up to 64 GB Micro SD card) while the keyboard dock houses a 1 TB hard drive.

PadFone Mini:
This latest addition to the PadFone is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor, has 8 GB of internal storage (can be upgraded up to 64 GB). It sports a 8 MP main camera and 2 MP front-facing. It supports two SIMs as well. PadFone mini is the first device to bring together the convenience of a 4-inch smartphone with the power and versatility of a 7-inch handheld tablet. Inside PadFone mini is an Intel Atom Z2560 processor that runs at 1.6 GHz.

VivoTab Note 8:
The VivoTab Note 8 is powered by the latest Intel Atom Z3740 processor for multitasking performance. With up to 8 hours battery life, VivoTab Note 8 can last for a working day before it needs to be recharged. It comes with 2 GB of memory, up to 64 GB of solid-state storage plus the ability to use up to 64GB microSD cards. Accessing your data on the move is simple, too, thanks to one year’s worth of unlimited ASUS WebStorage.

ZenFone 4:
The ZenFone 4 has a 4-inch display and a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Quad-Thread Hyper-Threading Technology. It includes a 5-megapixel main camera and a front facing camera. It weighs just 115g and is available in five vibrant colours — Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, Sky Blue, Solar Yellow.

ZenFone 5:
The ZenFone 5 has a spacious 5-inch IPS panel and high-definition 1280 x 720-pixel resolution. It has an Intel Atom Z2580 processor running at 2 GHz. The phone sports a 2 MP front facing and 8 MP main camera with image stabilization. This couples a backside-illumination (BSI) sensor and wide-aperture f/2.0 lens with exclusive ASUS PixelMaster technology. ZenFone 5 is available in four hues — Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, and Champagne Gold.

ZenFone 6:
ZenFone 6 also offers an HD display that measures six inches across the diagonal. Like ZenFone 5, the ZenFone 6 display features GloveTouch and PenTouch technologies. It also has an Intel Atom Z2580 processor running at 2 GHz. ZenFone 6’s large screen is complemented by ASUS SonicMaster audio technology with virtual surround sound via headphones. It also includes a 13 megapixel main camera that similarly benefits from PixelMaster technology, and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.
