Intex To Unveil India’s First Domestic Octa-Core Smartphone

Handset featuring Mediatek MT 6592 chipset is expected to be unveiled later this week.

 

Intex will soon take covers off its 'revolutionary' smartphone, which will be powered by a MediaTek Octa-core MT 6592 chipset, becoming the first Indian mobile company to offer this technology to Indian consumers.

The handset will be launched this week. It will be powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor, and sport a 13 mp rear camera along with a 5 mp front facing camera. With just 7 mm thickness and 2.6 mm frame width, the phone flaunt a 6" HD IPS LCD screen, and comes equipped with 2 GB of RAM. The phone will come in 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage options.

The handset will be available in an all-metal finish with a user-replacable battery design. Interestingly, the phone will also house dual Yamaha 1420 speakers. The octa-core implementation here is expected to activate all eight cores simultaneously enabling the device to perform exceptional multi-tasking and provide a superior user experience.
