The LG Optimus L1 II being an entry-level device, comes with average tech-specs. This smartphone borrows heavily from its eder sibling, the Optimus L3 II, and its key specs include:

  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
  • 1 GHz single-core processor.
  • 2 MP rear camera with VGA video shooting capabilities.
  • 512 MB RAM.
  • 4 GB internal storage.
  • MicroSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB
  • Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, microUSB connectivity.
  • 1540 mAh battery.

LG's Optimus L1 II is yet to hit Indian shores, as the device has been launched in Vietnam for US$95 (approx Rs 5700). In India, the Optimus LG L1 II is expected to sell for less than Rs 6000. The phone could appeal to people with limited budget as it comes from a reliable brand, and seems to be a better choice than today's low-cost Android 4.2 smartphones (especially from brands such as Intex and Videocon). The smartphone could face competition from Acer's recently-launched Liquid Z3, which is expected to be priced at Rs 5000.
