Mozilla Firefox 23 Launched, Features New Share Button

The latest version is available for the PC as well as Android users.

Mozilla's latest web-browser iteration, the Firefox 23, which was in the beta version, can now officially be downloaded for Windows, MAC, and Linux platforms. Sporting a new logo, it also comes with the new "Share" button that offers one-click sharing of content. Along with the "one-click sharing" functionality, Firefox 23 also packs in a mixed content blocker, that is said to obstruct hackers from gaining access to non-secure HTTP web pages. Mozilla claims that the secure content (HTTPS pages) will be filtered out and transmitted separately over secured channels.

Mozilla Firefox 23 is also available for Android users, as a free app on the Google Play store. Like the desktop version, Firefox 23 for Android also comes with a new logo, along with "Awesome Screen", which dynamically sorts the users favourite websites into "easy to read" pages. Then there is a new Awesome Bar that automatically completes URLs as they are being typed. There is also a "learn mode" that collects data about frequently visited URLs.

Both the Firefox 23 for Android and desktop feature performance enhancements and security fixes to load web pages faster. The complete list of changelogs is available on the official Mozilla blog.
