After GALAXY Note 800 10.1", New 12.2" Tab Said To be In The Works

Expect to run Android 4.3, may be unveiled at IFA 2013.

It certainly seems like Samsung has the "bigger is better" maxim way too seriously, as the South Korean electronics manufacturer appears to be prepping for a monstrous 12.2" tablet. An Ubergizmo report states that this tablet's screen is likely to pack in 2560x1600 pixels that will make the images appear crisp. Samsung is possibly testing the tablet, if a listing on import-export site Zauba.com is to be believed. This listing mentions a Samsung 12.2" screen-size tablet computer (model: SM-P905) test unit that originated in South Korea, and sent to Delhi. The listing also mentions the cost of the device at Rs 36,663. The South Korea based company already sells tablets in sizes varying from 7" to 10.1".

The 12.2" tab is rumoured to be shown off at IFA 2013 in Berlin, later this year. It is expected to run Android 4.3, as Google is expected to unveil th OS in event scheduled for 24th July. Large tablet screens also seem to have caught Apple's fancy, as the Cupertino-based company has seemingly placed orders for bigger smartphone and tablet displays. There are speculations about Apple being serious about a "slightly less than 13" tablet screen. Even iPhones with larger-display are said to be on the cards.

If Samsung does manage to bring out a really large tablet at this year's IFA, then expect a flood of huge tablets to come out soon, especially in India, which is considered in the technology sector as a "market with potential".
