Spice Stellar Virtuoso Pro Launches For Rs 8000

The mid-range device has a fairly good security mechanism backed by the Spice Cloud.

Spice Mobility, which recently launched a quad-core smartphone called the Coolpad Mi-515, is back with a dual-core offering this time. Spice's new dual-core device is called the Stellar Virtuoso Pro (model no: Mi-491), and features a 4.5" screen. The Spice Stellar Virtuoso Pro features the all-new Spice Cloud, which offers 2 GB storage area. Users can also wipe off all the content from the device remotely. This feature is quite similar to Samsung's Mobile Tracker, which also offers anti-theft mechanism.

The Stellar Virtuoso Pro incorporated with the Spice Cloud is priced at Rs 8000, and runs the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Its technical specifications include:

  • 4.5" capacitive display with 480x854 pixels.
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
  • 1 GHz dual-core processor.
  • 512 MB RAM.
  • Dual-SIM support (3G+3G).
  • 5 MP rear camera, and a 1.3 MP front camera.
  • 4 GB internal storage.
  • Micro-SD card slot with support up to 32 GB.
  • Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, micro USB connectivity.
  • 1700 mAh battery.

We feel that Spice could've packed in a 1 GB RAM in the Stellar Virtuoso Pro to beat competition. The smartphone competes with the recently-launched Lava Iris 455 that is priced at Rs 8500, and which has similar tech-specs.
