Intex i-Buddy Connect 3G 7" Tablet Launches At Rs 9990

Dual-SIM slate packs in 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0, and educational content.

 

Intex has launched a successor to its 7" i-Buddy Connect tablet, the i-Buddy Connect 3G Tablet. Like the earlier tablet, this one also sports a 7" 5 point touch touchscreen. However that is where the similarity ends. The upgraded variant packs in a 1 GHz dual-core CPU, 1 GB of RAM, dual SIM support (3G WCDMA+ 2G GSM) for data browsing, Android 4.0.4 OS, and dual cameras.

The tablet has been priced at Rs 9990, and comes preloaded with NCERT text books from class 1- 12 along with "fun" apps such as Nimbuzz, Skype and Facebook, Yahoo Messenger, and Gtalk. The press release also claims that the 3500 mAh lithium ion battery offers talk time of 3 hours and stand by up to 300 hours, so we can assume that the tablet supports voice calling as well.
