Micromax Funbook 3G P560 Now Available For Purchase Online

New 7-inch tablet is largely similar to the P362, except that it also includes 3G data connectivity.

A new Micromax 3G tablet called Funbook 3G P560 is now up for sale at e-commerce sites such as Saholic and Infibeam. Micromax's new Funbook P560 has a price tag of approximately Rs 8,800 at Infibeam and Saholic.

This tablet comes just days after Micromax brought out its Funbook Talk P360 and Funbook Talk P362 priced at Rs 7100 and Rs 7500 respectively (online retailer price).

The key tech specs of Funbook P560 3G tablet, as seen on e-commerce sites are:

  • 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display having 800x480 pixels
  • Android 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich OS
  • 1GHz Qualcomm processor with Adreno 200 GPU
  • 2MP rear camera along with VGA front camera
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4GB internal memory, out of which 2.5GB is available to users
  • microSD card slot for expansion up to 32GB
  • 3G connectivity, SIM card support, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity
  • 3000mAh battery; and a claimed talk time of upto 5 hrs
  • Google Play, Gmail and Gtalk apps preloaded

These specs are comparable to Micromax Funbook Talk P362, with the only difference being the former's capability to offer 3G connectivity. Also, the operating system in Funbook P560 is an outdated one (even when compared to the Android 4.1 platform that Talk P362 runs out of the box). You could go in for the Micromax Funbook Talk P362 if you are looking for a decent budget tablet sans 3G. However, if you are looking at more options before buying a "low-cost" tablet, take a look at our buyers' guide.
