Alcatel One Touch Star Android Jellybean Smartphone Unveiled

Alcatel One Touch Star has a 5MP camera and has decent technical specifications.

 

Alcatel unveiled its new handset, the One Touch Star, which comes in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants (One Touch Star 6010 and One Touch Star 6010D respectively).  This launch comes just ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC)  that is to take place in Barcelona from 25th February. The One Touch Star comes in colour variants such as black, pink, white and grey. Pricing is not yet known.

The technical specifications of the One Touch Star are:

  • 4 inch WVGA display with 800x480 pixels
  • 5MP autofocus camera
  • Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system
  • 1GHz dual-core processor
  • Dual-SIM support
  • 4GB EMMC [eMMC describes an architecture consisting of an embedded storage solution with MMC ( multimedia card)  interface, flash memory and controller] along with 512MB RAM
  • Up to 32GB upgrade possible through micro-SD card
  • Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS connectivity
  • 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery with a claimed talktime of 4.5hrs

Apart from the tech specs, Alcatel on its website claims that the One Touch Star is “Simply irresistible”, a tall claim.
