New 7-inch HCL Android Tablets Priced Under Rs 12,000

HCL has launched the ME U2, ME Y3 and ME V1 tablets running on the Android 4.0 ICS platform.

 

HCL has brought out three new low cost tablets - the HCL ME U2, HCL ME Y3 and the HCL ME V1. All three have 7" displays, 3G connectivity and the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. As of now these tablets have select availability, but are expected become available across India soon. Priced between Rs 6,000 and Rs 12,000, their individual technical specs,a ccording to a Press Release are as noted below:


HCL ME U2:

  • 7" multi-touch, capacitive display
  • Android 4.0 platform
  • 1GHz Cortex-A9 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB with microSD card
  • 0.3MP front camera
  • 3G, Wi-Fi, mini HDMI connectivity
  • 3.5 mm audio jack

Price of the HCL ME U2 is approximately Rs 6,000

HCL ME Y3:

  • 7" display
  • Android 4.0 platform
  • 1GHz Cortex-A9 processor
  • 3.2MP rear camera, VGA front camera
  • 1GB DDR3 RAM
  • 4GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB with microSD card
  • 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, mini HDMI connectivity
  • HCL ME App store access

HCL ME Y3 has a price tag of approximately Rs 12,000

HCL ME V1:

  • 7" display
  • Android 4.0 ICS platform
  • 1GHz Cortex-A8 processor
  • 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP VGA front camera
  • 1GB DDR3 RAM
  • 4GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB with microSD card
  • 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity

HCL ME V1 carries a price tag of approximately Rs 8,000.
