Samsung Unveils Three New Monitors Ahead Of CES 2013

Touch optimized display to enhance the experience of Windows 8.

Less than a week before the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 officially commences, Samsung has unveiled three new premium monitors. The Series 7 will now feature the SC770 and SC750 displays. The SC770 is the first multi-touch display from the Korean giant, with is fully optimised for Windows 8. What this basically means is that you can use features such as drag, drop, and swipe on your Desktop. The display also offers a 60-degree tilt for using these touch features comfortably.

The SC750, on the other hand, is a non-touch display that can be used both in the landscape and portrait modes. Both monitors from Series 7 have flaunt Full-HD (1080p) resolution with a 5ms response time (GTG).

The other professional grade monitor is the Series 9 SB970. Equipped with a Wide-Quad High Definition (WQHD) resolution (2560 x 1440) and Plane Line Switching (PLS) technology, the 27-inch display is said to be hand-tuned individually before shipping. The SB970 is already available in the US, and shipping for the Series 7 monitors will commence in the first quarter of 2013. Samsung will be displaying all the three monitors in their booth at CES 2013. There is no word on pricing of the monitors. More detailed specifications can be found below.
